Week7 Activity: Model1&2, Folding Fusion360 2.5D model, Fusion360 3D Initial Model

Activity 1: Handmade model progress Model1

Plan:

Model1

This model is developed from the draft paper model from week5. As the draft paper model was very unstable and it is hard to stand straight, I decided to change to a smaller scale and a thicker material.

  • material used: paperboard
  • scale1:20
  • folding technique used for curtain and roof
  • dimension seen above in plan

This model is made of pink and blue paperboard. The material was chosen as it is easier to cut/fold comparing to paper, but the texture is same as paper.

  • scale1:20
  • dimension can be seen in plan above

cardboard model scale1:20
Tracing paper was used as curtain material to create a different texture of materials used in the model. Recycled shoe box was used as the cardboard material.

Progress

I change one side of the wall from a piece of cardboard to a wall of stacked toilet paper roll. Each recycled toilet paper roll was cut in 3 sections horizontally and in half vertically.
